Russian external debt down 24% in 9M05 to $86.8bln

MOSCOW, December 2 (RIA Novosti) – Russia's external debt shrank 23.9% during the first nine months of 2005 and 19.3% in the third quarter, totaling $86.8 billion on October 1, the Finance Ministry said Friday.
