URGENT: Putin signs law to allow parties to nominate candidates for governor

MOSCOW, January 1 (RIA Novosti) – Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law Sunday to allow political parties with a majority of seats in regional legislatures to nominate candidates for the regional governor.
