On the gas dispute with Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldavia, I can understand the Russian viewpoint on the matter. I am a fullblooded Ukrainian, who is a proud Ukrainian/American, but I do not agree with the European Nations and the CIS that Russia should continue selling cheap gas to these countries, who openly hate Russia. But then I do not hate Russia or Russian.

Bird flu hits Turkish resort on Aegean Sea

ANKARA, January 10 (RIA Novosti) – Local experts have said avian flu is to blame for mass bird deaths near a popular resort on Turkey's Aegean Sea coast, Turkish television said Tuesday. Wild and domestic fowl have been reported dead in Kusadasi, which literally translates as "bird island," and is located 580 kilometers (about 363 miles) from Istanbul.
