Moscow market death toll reaches 64 - ministry

MOSCOW, February 25 (RIA Novosti) – Another six bodies were recovered from the wreckage at a Moscow market where the roof collapsed Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 64, the Emergency Situations Ministry said Saturday. The ministry said seven bodies had yet to be identified.

Russia-Iran nuclear talks begin in Tehran

TEHRAN, February, 25 (RIA Novosti) – Negotiations have started in Tehran between the Russian and Iranian nuclear energy chiefs Saturday. According to a source at the Russian delegation, Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Nuclear Power, and Iranian Vice President for Atomic Energy Gholamreza Aqazadeh-Khoi will discuss cooperation in the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, as well as the Russian proposal to create a joint venture for uranium enrichment on Russian territory.

Uzbekistan ratifies allied relations treaty with Russia

MOSCOW, February 25 (RIA Novosti) – The Russian nuclear chief said Saturday in Tehran that he saw no political obstacles to the completion of the nuclear power plant in Bushehr. Sergei Kiriyenko, the head of the Federal Agency for Nuclear Power, said, "We see no political obstacles to the completion of the construction [of the nuclear power plant, which Russia is building in Bushehr] and are interested in the soonest launch of the NPP."
