Russia hopeful Sudan will back UN call for Darfur peacekeepers

MOSCOW, September 1 (RIA Novosti) – Russia's Foreign Ministry said Friday it hoped a UN Security Council decision to deploy peacekeepers to Sudan's western Darfur region would be supported by the country's leadership.
