Hardliner Urges Israel to Treat Gaza Like Russia Treats Chechnya

Avigdor Lieberman, Israel's hardline new minister for strategic affairs, has said the Jewish state should operate in the Gaza Strip "like Russia operates in Chechnya." His colleague, public security minister Avi Dichter rejected Lieberman's idea, saying that Gaza was not Chechnya and Israel's tactics were completely different.
