DVD Review - Trade
A predictable but well-done crime thriller with a strong human angle. Veronica (Alicja Bachleda) is a young Polish woman who travels to Mexico City, lured to the Mexican capital by the promise of a high-paying job. But almost as soon as she steps off the airplane she realizes that something is badly amiss. The people who meet her at the airport demand her passport and roughly shove her into a car, and she finds herself the victim of sex traffickers. In captivity, Veronica meets Adriana (Paulina Gaitan), a 13-year-old girl from Mexico City whose kidnapping sets in motion a desperate mission by her 17-year-old brother, Jorge (Cesar Ramos), to save her. Trapped and terrified, the two young women try to support each other as best as they can. >>
