Costumes, horror stories, candy – all are traditional attributes of U.S.-style Halloween. This holiday is notable for its durability, as it has managed to survive and thrive through different times, transforming and assimilating all sorts of trends. The modern version includes bits of Celtic traditions about worshipping unclean spirits, along with the Christian All Saints Day. This holiday, or rather, tradition has spread all over the world. In Moscow it is hardly a national event celebrated by everyone, but the younger generation has taken to it enthusiastically. >>
