U.S., NATO ready to consider ratifying CFE treaty - state dept.
WASHINGTON, November 6 (RIA Novosti) – The U.S. and NATO are concerned over Russia's threat to withdraw from the Conventional Forces in Europe Treaty (CFE) and are ready to look at ratifying the document, the assistant secretary of state said.

Kazakh PM resigns
ASTANA, January 8 (RIA Novosti) – Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Danial Akhmetov has resigned, a government official said Monday.
Under Kazakhstan's legislation, a premier's departure means resignation of the entire government.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev has accepted the resignation and is now expected to submit a replacement candidacy to a joint session of both houses of parliament January 10.
Akhmetov, 52, was in the premier's office since June 2003.
